Molly Bladen

MSN, FNP-C, HCS-D, HCS-O

Twenty-eight years is a long time to spend in home health. Molly Bladen has done all of it — she started as a field nurse making visits, which means she has actually stood in a patient’s living room trying to figure out why the documentation doesn’t match what she’s seeing in front of her. That experience never left her.

From the field, her career expanded into agency leadership, quality assurance, regulatory audits, and advanced practice provider roles. She holds credentials in both home care coding (HCS-D) and OASIS (HCS-O), and her clinical background as a Family Nurse Practitioner gives her a perspective on documentation and compliance that is harder to find than most agencies realize — someone who understands what happens at the bedside AND why it matters on the claim.

Molly is a featured instructor in the ACHCU-hosted master class series Mastering Medicare Audits: Defensible Documentation and Operational Readiness for Home Health Leaders, an approved continuing education program awarding up to 3 nursing contact hours through the Virginia Nurses Association. She brings the same directness to teaching that she brought to home visits — no fluff, no theory disconnected from reality, just the kind of knowledge that actually holds up when an auditor comes calling.

She lives in Northeast Florida with her husband. When she’s not improving home health practices across the country, she’s probably on the water, camping, or chasing grandbabies.
